The Smells Of Morning

Good Morning Friends, grab your coffee and come on in and let's chat for a moment.

Ahhhh, the smells of morning. The smell of a good blend of coffee is my favorite, followed by the smell of bacon...MMMMMmmmmm.

What smells attract you in the morning?

I love this time of year, my favorite coffee is pumpkin spice. I stopped at the friendly neighborhood Dunkin Doughnuts this past Saturday and lo and behold, they had pumpkin spice latte, ohhhh a bit of heaven I must say.  Add a pumpkin spice doughnut and you have a well planned meal. Well, maybe not but it was ohhhhh so good.

You know what is crazy though, you pay almost five dollars for that wonderful cup of pleasure, that is almost enough to buy a bag of premium coffee and with a little time and effort you can have many cups of goodness just for a little over the price of that one.

We are such a spoiled people.  I have to say that I like the little nuances when I can afford them, but sometimes it does not take long before I feel guilty for the indulgence. I guess that comes from years of being self employed and having to learn to be frugal.

Well friends it is time for me to get busy so until next time, drop a comment on your favorite morning smells and don't forget to add a little randomness to your life : )

We Are Not In Kansas Anymore

Good Morning Friends, grab your coffee and come on in and let's chat for a moment. How are you all this beautiful and yet chilly morning? I am so glad to have a break from the steamy temperatures.

Have you ever thought about the movie the WIZARD OF OZ?  Anyone who reads literature especially literature written before the 21st century, knows that literature was a way to express  the signs of the time through stories, with allegories, symbols, metaphors and...

Usually, the stories underling meanings were political in nature, which brings me to the story of OZ.  I set out to find the meaning behind the story and what I found was not so surprising, however, I found it intriguing to find that not only is it a story about the political agenda of the late 1800's and early 1900's, it also fits so perfectly into the political climate of today.

I have included a couple of links below, the first is the song, Somewhere Over The Rainbow"  The second is a video from you tube that tells a good bit about money and banking system.
